TrailCollectiv Saskatchewan Hiking Challenge

Rules and Regulations

Rules :

No purchase necessary. Participants must hike a trail in Saskatchewan, take a photo on the trail, and submit the photo on the TrailCollectiv app through the Sask hiking challenge button on the TrailCollectiv profile page. Participants must have rights to the photo and the permission of everyone to upload the photo.

Monthly prizes of varying value will be given away each month in June, July, and August, and September. The value of monthly prizes and number of monthly prizes given away is subject to availability.  One grand prize valued at $700 will be awarded at the end of the hiking challenge in October.

Submitting hiking photos: 

  • This Program takes place electronically using the app TrailCollectiv that can be downloaded off of the Apple of Google Play Store. It requires you to have a mobile tool and internet connection. 

  • Submit your photos on the TrailCollectiv app through the Sask hiking challenge button on the TrailCollectiv profile page.

  • You must include a picture of yourself and/or family/friends in the photo and include the name of the trail and/or the location, your name, and email address with the entry.

  • The person who submits the hike with their email is the individual who can win the prize.

  • By submitting your hiking photos in the TrailCollectiv app, you are acknowledging that you have read, understand, and agree to all the TrailCollectiv app Terms and Conditions, and Privacy policy.

  • By submitting your hiking photos in the TrailCollectiv app, you are acknowledging that you have read, understand, and agree to all the challenge rules and regulations.

  • By submitting your photos, you agree to that

    a) you own these piece(s) of media and or have authorization to use it and

    b) you are allowing the receiver to reuse these piece(s) of media for future use such as marketing, promotional and or social media content.

    c) you accept that you are not eligible for compensation for its use.

Criteria:

  • All photographs submitted must have been taken while on a trail within the province of Saskatchewan between June 1st and September 30th, 2024.. 

  • Photos must be submitted with the location and/or name of the hike to be eligible to win.

  • Photos must include you and/or your family or friends in the photo.

  • Photo submissions that depict nudity, violent acts, unsafe practices, or illegal practices (eg. dogs off leash when required on leash, no seatbelts, improper interaction with wildlife) will not be accepted. TrailCollectiv reserves the right to reject any submission it deems inappropriate.

Eligibility:

The winner(s) must have reached the age of majority in their province of residence. The Contest is intended for Canadian residents (excluding residents of the Province of Quebec) and will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision, principle or rule (whether of the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan or any other jurisdiction) and notwithstanding your domicile, residence or physical location.

Contest Dates:

The Saskatchewan Summer Hiking Challenge runs from June 1, 2024 at 12:01 AM Central Time (CT) to September 30th, 2024 at 11:59 PM CT. 

To be entered to win a monthly prize, photos of hiking the trails must be submitted through TrailCollectiv by 11:59 pm CST on the final day of each month. Any submission made prior to the month's deadline, including submissions done within a previous month, are eligible for the following monthly prizes. 

To be eligible for the grand prize, all photos submitted prior to 11:59 PM CST on September 30th, 2024 will be eligible to win the final grand prize. 

Announcement of Winners:

Winners for the monthly prizes will be contacted the following month. Winners for the Grand Prize will be contacted in October 2024.Winners may be announced on social media, email, blog and any other forms of communication by TrailCollectiv and our partners.

Acceptance of the Prize :

  • By entering this challenge, participants consent to the use of their names, images, likenesses and photographs of themselves, without compensation, in any publicity carried out in any media by or on behalf of TrailCollectiv. 

  • For every photo submitted of a hike completed in Saskatchewan, a qualifying user will earn an entry into a monthly prize draw and a final grand prize. 

  • Winner(s) for the monthly prizes will be notified the following month and have five days to claim their prize before the prize may be awarded to a new winner. 

  • The winner(s) of the grand prize will be notified in October 2024 and have five days to claim their prize before the prize may be awarded to a new winner. 

Chances to Win:

Winners will be selected randomly. The chance to win depends on the number of participants that join the TrailCollectiv Sask hiking challenge, and the number of photo hike submissions by the participant. For monthly prizes, the chance to win will depend on the number of prizes and is subject to change if new prizes from local companies are received. There is only one chance to win the grand prize.

To earn chances of winning a prize, you must meet the criteria established below for each prize:

1 – Monthly Prize:  To win a monthly prize, a participant must hike a trail in Saskatchewan during the month of the monthly prize and take a photo of themselves while on their hike. After, participants must submit the photo on the Saskatchewan hiking challenge page on the TrailCollectiv app. The button to access the hiking challenge page is located on the profile section of the app. Photos entered any time before the end of the month, including photos entered in any prior month's during the challenge dates, will be eligible to win. Prizing for monthly awards will be awarded randomly each month via email to selected participants. Winner(s) for a month will be notified the following month and have five days to claim their prize before the prize may be awarded to a new winner. 

2 – Grand Prize: To win the grand prize, a participant must hike a trail in Saskatchewan during the challenge dates, June 1st to September 30th, 2024, and take a photo of themselves while on their hike. After, participants must submit the photo on the hiking Saskatchewan hiking challenge page on the TrailCollectiv app located by clicking challenge button on the profile page on the app. These submissions must be entered any time between 12:01 am on June 1st, 2024 and 11:59 PM CST on September 30th, 2024 to be eligible to win the final grand prize. 

Prizes 

Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available except at the sponsor’s sole discretion. Where a Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the sponsor reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.
