Deleting Your Account

We understand that sometimes users may choose to discontinue their use of our app. If you have decided to delete your account, please follow the steps below. Before proceeding, please be aware that this action is irreversible, and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

How to Delete Your Account:

  1. Open the App: Launch the TrailCollectiv app on your device.

  2. Go to Profile: Navigate to your profile in the app.

  3. Locate Account Deletion Option: Scroll to the bottom and look for "Delete Account”.

  4. Follow on-screen Instructions: Once you have found the account deletion option, follow the on-screen instructions. You may be asked to provide additional information or confirm your decision.

  5. Confirm Deletion: Confirm that you want to delete your account. This may involve entering your password or responding to a confirmation prompt.

  6. Wait for Confirmation: After confirming, wait for a confirmation message to ensure that your account has been successfully deleted.

What Information is Deleted:

When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Profile Information: Your username, profile, and any other personal details you provided during account creation.

  • Personal Settings: Any personalized settings or preferences associated with your account.

  • Connected Accounts: If you linked your account to other services or social media platforms, those connections will be severed.

What Information is Retained:

  • Public Trail Information: If you added any public trail information to the app, these will still be retained. This includes, but is not limited to, trail condition updates, photos added to public trails, trails that have been added to the app, any comments on public trails, and any other information that was shared publicly.

  • Anonymous Data: We may retain anonymized data for statistical analysis, but this data will not be personally identifiable.

  • Legal Requirements: In certain cases, we may be required by law to retain certain information for a specific period.

Note for Paid Subscribers: If you are a paid subscriber, deleting your account within the app will not automatically cancel your subscription. Subscription management, including cancellations and refunds, is handled by the Google Play Store for Android users and the Apple Store for iOS users. To cancel your subscription, you must follow the cancellation process within the respective app stores.

Please be aware that deleting your account within the app does not affect your subscription status. If you have any questions or need assistance with subscription management, please contact the app store support directly.
